What is Scrumbee?
Scrumbee is an AI Scrum Master that lives in Slack. It is not a separate place to log in and check charts. It reads work signals from the tools the team already uses, then helps keep daily progress, sprint commitments, and follow-ups visible where the conversation already happens.
How does the team connect it?
Someone with permission installs Scrumbee into the Slack workspace. From Slack, the same workspace then authorizes Jira, GitHub, and/or Bitbucket using those products’ own sign-in screens. Setup is a workspace connection, not an email-and-password account on a new website.
What tools can it work with?
Today: Slack as the place it speaks, Jira for project and issue work, GitHub for repository and pull-request activity, and Bitbucket for the same kind of development activity. Microsoft Teams is not part of the current product.
What does Scrumbee monitor?
Relevant work information: Jira projects, issues, status, and assignment; GitHub and Bitbucket repositories, pull requests, commits, and related development activity. It uses that to see what moved, what stalled, and what is coming due — not to archive source code as a product feature.
How does it help the Scrum process?
It supports daily progress (personal and team standups), ticket movement, blockers, deadlines, sprint summaries, ceremony cadence, and follow-ups. The point is accountability and flow: the team hears about work that needs attention, instead of discovering it only at the next meeting.
Where does Scrumbee communicate with the team?
In Slack — channels the workspace maps to projects or repositories, and direct messages where a personal standup or a recommendation belongs. If you can talk to a Scrum Master in Slack, that is the surface Scrumbee uses.
The working loop
Once the workspace and tools are connected, the loop is the same every day:
- Work changes in Jira, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Scrumbee receives those signals through the authorized integrations.
- It identifies movement, stall, blockers, and items that need a person.
- It posts or answers in Slack as an active Scrum Master would.
